1909 King's Pictures with a weekly change of programme.
1909 November Russell's obtains an injunction preventing the use of their name with the shows then on offer at the pier. (Ruffell's was at the time supplying the Electric Theatre in Western Road.)

• The seaward end of the pier was damaged in a storm in 1973, which led to the landing stage being demolished in 1975 and the theatre closing, despite protests by the Theatres Trust, never to re-open.
