YERBURY, Arthur Leslie 1904-1968 |
Architect. Born in Bristol, the son of a Wesleyan Methodist worker in a chocolate factory, he was listed as Leslie A in Census1911. He was an RIBA Student 1925, and thereafter worked in the Brighton Borough Surveyor's Department as a chartered accountant. He supervised the first self-build housing project in England after the Second World War at Plymouth Avenue. He died at Brighton General Hospital and left £2,306. |
